On the 5th of October ManSound is going to participate in the new jazz festival in Baku, Azerbaijan after it was discontinued for some time. Festival "Golden Autumn" appeared in the late 60s and was very popular in the USSR. One of the founders was famous producer Uliy Gusman. This year the vocal bands will participate in the festival. Guests of the festival are: Camerata (Minsk), ManSound (Kiev), Cosmos (Riga), Acapella Expresss (Moscow), CLIVE BROWN and THE SHEKINAH SINGERS (London), The SHIN (Tbilisi).
We are happy that popularization of a capella genre which has been started by a festival "Vocal Zone" last year in Kiev has spread onto the other republics of the former USSR.

“Àfter the concert of the vocal group “ManSound” from Ukraine which was performed în February 14th with a participation of the representatives of the musical culture of Lithuania and the members of the staff of the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Lithuania, the Ambassador of Ukraine Hon. Boris Klimchuk has greeted this significant presentation of the Ukrainian musical culture on the central Lithuanian stage in the National Lithuanian Philarmony. A Senior Director of the Lithuanian National Philarmony Mrs. R. Prusiavichane has expressed admiration with the band`s performance of the musical compositions and has underlined a great interest in the Ukrainian music. The Lithuanian musical compositions, including the patriotic songs, which were performed during the concert, have proved to be a pleasant gift from the Ukrainian friends on the eve of National holiday – The day of Restoration of the Lithuanian Republic, according to the words of the Director of Philarmony.
Performances of the group “ManSound” in the best concert halls of Vilnius and Klaipeda have attracted a significant interest of the Lithuanian public, which had perceived admirably the songs in Ukrainian, Lithuanian and in the others languages»

A cappella festival “Vocal Zone” was held for the first time in the former USSR. The concert took place in Kiev in October 2006. Six vocal top groups from Ukraine, Russia and Belorussia have been participating for two days and have given master-classes. The festival made it possible for audience not only to see different bands on one stage but also to understand how interesting and various A Cappella could be. One of the aims of the Festival was to make A Cappella popular in the former USSR. ManSound has decided to do it. But the organizers determined to expand the territory of the festival and to hold it in Moscow as well. ManSound will perform the program of the first a cappella festival «VOCAL ZONE» in cooperation with jazz club JazzTown in Taganka on the 1st and 2nd of February 2007. Four groups out of six, who took part in the Kiev’s Festival are going to participate in its “Moscow edition”.
