The President of Ukraine has signed a decree ¹ 1050/2009 “On Awards to the professionals of the arts in Kiev” as of today.
There are three members of the “ManSound’ group among the awarded professionals of the arts.
The titles “A Honored Actor of Ukraine” have been awarded to:
SUHIN Volodymir Victorovich, a soloist–vocalist of the “ManSound” group;
TOLMACHOV Ruben Vladyslavovich, a soloist-vocalist of the “ManSound group;
TRACH Volodymyr Mykhailovich, a soloist-vocalist of the “ManSound” group.
We are very thankful for this honor and hope that the other members of the “ManSound” group will receive this honor title soon.

Ancient traditions of New Year and Christmas celebration brings us back to the magical family gathering by the fireplace and to the belief in miracles. Every time we secretly cherish our hope that Santa – Father Frost – Saint Nicolas will present us something special.
Each year “The Coca-Cola Company Ukraine” is the first to apply to magic and launch the holiday season. Though it is only autumn yet, we already have one present: magnificent commercial with Santa who sends everyone the Christmas Star, will appear on television on the 21 of November. Three more advertisements will appear from the 1 of December that will complete the story. They will tell us about Christmas Star wonders and good intentions.
All these stories are filled with humanity, sincerity and with miraculous Christmas carol as well. The well-known lyrical composition “Holiday is coming” was written by the composer Anton Denisov and poet Mykola Brovchenko. The new song about Christmas is performed by famous vocal jazz sextet “ManSound” (Yuri Romensky, Vyacheslav Rubel’, Volodymir Sukhin, Ruben Tolmachev, Volodymir Trach and Sergiy Kharchenko. You`ll see and hear it not only on TV, but also on radio and Internet. It is not hard to remember the lyrics: once heard them, you`ll boost your holiday mood and your soul will be filled with wish to make wonders.

Recently, the number of the children of the members of the ManSound's team has increased from 9 to 11 and 8 of them are in only two families. In the family of Dmitry Vygovsky, the manager of the ManSound group, the third baby was born. He is a boy and his name is Luka. In the family of Vladimir Suhin a son was born during the last concert tour of the group in Austria. He is a real father-hero, because it is the fifth child in his family.

ManSound has became a laureate of the international contest Vokal.Total. At this time Vokal.Total - is the only one annual acapella competition which is performed in the Austrian city Graz and is world-wide recongnized. There were more than 20 groups from Europe, Japan, and Taiwan this year. They were competing for the "Ward Swingle Award".
ManSound has won the golden diplomas and took a second place in the two nominees - POP and JAZZ. The first places were taken by Japanese and Taiwan's groups. Thus, ManSound has proved that it is one of the leading bands in acapella on the European stage, again.

ManSound will perform in the pop category on the 28th of July (Tuesday) at 23:15 and in the jazz category on the 29th at 15:00. Mentioned time is the Kiev’s time.

ManSound will take part in the international acapella contest "Vokal Total" in Graz, Austria. It will last from the 27 till the 30 of July. After the victory in the jazz nomination in 2002, ManSound has decided to compete once again for "The Ward Swingle Award". At this time in two categories at once - jazz and pop.
Besides that ManSound will take part in the acapella festival "Vocalnight 2009" in Leibnitz, as well as in the joint concert together with the German group "Get Souled" in Auersbach.

ManSound’s concert tour in the Ukrainian cities with the new program VOYAGE began yesterday from Dnepropetrovsk. The group is also going to visit Odessa, Uzhgorod, Ternopil and Rovno in May and June. The tour will be continued in other Ukrainian cities in autumn.

ManSound together with the famous DJ and remix-maker ANDI VAX are going to release a dance-remix on musical composition of Johann Sebastian Bach “AIR”. A capella version of this composition was in the last group’s album “Voyage” that was released in the autumn of 2008. This is the second ManSound’s and dancers cooperation. The first cooperative work together with DJ Major was represented in the single “Ukrainian Hymn”.
ANDI VAX – the author of the numerous singles and remixes which had received high marks of world-famed DJ’s and producers. His tracks have won the first places in the first-rate musical shop Juno charts. The musician had a chance to work in 2008 with Joachim Garraud – the house-music king and the permanent David Guetta partner. Remix “Moi Aim Bien Moa” was included into the last Garraud “Invasion 2008” album.

The winners for the 2009 Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards (CARA) were announced yesterday. ManSound’s song “Spain (I Can Recall)” has taken the second place in Jazz Song category. The winner in this category is Take 6 with a song “A Tisket A Tasket” from their last album “The Standard”.
