Vladimir Truch - tenor
Born Education Music College of Ternopol Kyiv State University of Culture and Arts; choir conductor In ManSound since 1997 How did you join ManSound? Before ManSound I wasn’t an out-and-out fan of Jazz; I just liked singing a capella. I came to audition when the group was three years old and they took me. About concerts Sometimes, after a gig it seems like I float off the stage, but sometimes they are less successful, as a rule, when technical problems happen. You are sick and can hardly speak, but you have to go on stage. After that, not talking for some time, in order to recover, is the price you pay. I depend on others and just can’t say, “I have a sore throat. I won’t sing today.” Studio sound, obviously, differs from live sound, but many believe that our studio sound doesn’t differ much from our live performance sound. I think this is an advantage. Your role in ManSound I hope I am an integral part of the team. About the group ManSound is everything; it’s my life, my job. It’s the school I’ve learned so much from. Due to ManSound, I have learned to work in the studio, work with a microphone, make contact with the audience, everything I know as a vocalist. Your Favorite music Always Stevie Wonder. Among the newest ? two months ago I bought a Justin Timberlake album. Your occupation outside of ManSound I don’t have any additional projects except MS. ManSound is my main occupation and everything else is inconsequential. About work The sound of six male voices is . . . fantastic. Your ambitions I don’t know. I don’t take my career that seriously. Maybe, I made a mistake, but between music and private life I chose ManSound. There is no doubt, I have ambitions, perhaps I can’t realize them in the band, but maybe, someday, a solo career will happen. The other members of the group about Vladimir «Volodya Trach joined us when he was a first year student, and his professionalism developed thanks to the group. His personal traits and musical preferences were also formed partly in MS. At first glance, he seems to be quiet and aloof, but he isn’t. He just has his own sense of humor and life impressions”, «When Vova sings, he transforms” «His voice has become our group’s calling card, it’s impossible to imagine “Triptih” without his smile and timbre.” «Very soon he won’t fit into his clothes, because he’s constantly lifting weights. In several months he won’t be little Vova Trach; he’ll be a tank». «He is funny and good at history»
